Talus acts as Project Manager on a range of different types of construction projects. This involves using a combination of our knowledge, skills and processes in order to meet the requirements of any given scheme. Construction Project Management comprises a number of core processes centred around the following project stages: Inception, Planning, Execution, Control and Closing. Talus helps to ensure that these stages are effectively progressed to practical completion.

Scrutiny of proposals to assess implications in relation to the Party Wall etc. Act, 1996, ascertainment of the number of adjoining owners as defined by the Act, service of the necessary notices, preparation of schedules of condition, schedules of record photographs & award documentation, agreement of the award with the adjoining owner’s surveyor(s), construction stage monitoring of works, post completion signing off works & assessment of damage claims.

In certain development situations the need to either oversail a crane jib or boom or the need to trespass with a scaffolding onto a neighbours land is the only cost effective way to proceed. We have extensive experience in progressing such negotiations to obtain approval to such situations, which is usually formalised by the signing of a 'licence', either under hand or as a deed. Talus are able to advise if such a licence is needed in the first instance and if a need is found to exist then progressing this service.

The Church of England's Quinquennial Inspection system provides for the inspection of church buildings every five years by an architect or chartered building surveyor approved by the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC).

With full CAA Authorisation, RAMS and PLI, we can negate the need for expensive scaffolding and other working at height equipment, not only removing the risk to workers but also saving often huge costs involved with such operations using Unmanned Aerial Systems.
