James Hopkins qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1997 and is the principle of Talus Partnership Limited.
Prior to setting up his own practice, James worked firstly as a site engineer for Wimpey Construction Limited and for the last twenty years for the well respected multi-disciplinary surveying practice, MDA Consulting Ltd, rising through the building surveying and project management teams to eventually be Director in charge of Project Management and Specialist Services.
One of James’ specialisms is party wall surveying and he is a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club and the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, which promotes excellence in party wall practice.
James is also a church quinquennial surveyor for the Diocese of London, Southwark and Guildford and has a passion for work in the conservation and listed building sector of the construction industry.
